Employment
BSH Home Appliances
Marketing Executive & Scrum Master
Currently, I work at BSH Home Appliances - a global company that houses four major household brands for the UK (Bosch, Siemens, NEFF and Gaggenau). I work in a high performing, agile team as a Digital Marketing Executive & Scrum Master - meaning I work daily on complex tasks whilst leading and supporting the rest of the team.
In this role, my focus frequently shifts across individual marketing and website touchpoints, brands and projects.
Team Leadership - Scrum Master
A Scrum Master is someone who works in a leadership role within an agile, 'Scrum' team. It is part of my responsibilty to support the team and keep work on track, ensuring it meets the full requirements and deadlines of everyone involved, whilst also helping the team develop both individually and collectively.
The role requires a large amount of communication with stakeholders, other teams and my own team, needing to ensure all potential blockers are resolved and that the team have all the confidence and resources to complete each task.
Applying this knowledge
The skills and knowledge I've aqquired in this role can massively benefit how I approach work. I understand the importance of giving full transparency of the work and the significance of inspecting as it progresses, as this leads to adaptation along the journey to ensure the outcome meets all the needs and requirements of the project.
Projects
Over my time at BSH, I've worked and managed various large projects that have affected multiple touchpoints, including web, social media, email, CRM tools and physical locations (showrooms and retailers).
Showroom Conversions
The previous user journey to attend a BSH showroom was extremely poor - stretching across multiple websites and an incomplete communcation cycle.
To improve on this, I worked on rolling out a new CRM tool with bespoke developments to two London Showrooms. This included creating a new journey and pages on the brand websites, designing emails to communicate with consumers, promoting the showroom to increase conversions and analysing the conversion funnel to measure ROI - all whilst communicating and working alongside various teams and stakeholders.
Digital Optimisation
I actively create new pages and journeys across each brands digital channels, to drive consumers to specific conversion points and improve upon the digital content.
Each brand has multiple campaigns and projects per year - driving consumers to new products, promotions or events. For these, I assist various teams across the business to ensure a seamless and complete journey, whilst measuring performance and finding new ways to make improvements throughout a campaigns timeline.
Reesink UK
Marketing Assistant
In this role, I worked as a Marketing Assistant across three brands - Reesink Turfcare, Agriculture and e-Vehicles. I worked with multiple internal and external stakeholders, businesses and agencies to ensure content was delivered on time to drive sales.
Marketing Responsibilites
For each brand I would create unique digital and offline content, including graphics, videos, posters, flyers and photographs. Each design would need to be brand specific, abiding by their own guidelines and targeted at different types of consumers. Once created, I would then share this content across digital touchpoints.
I had complete ownership of all social media channels for all brands. It was my responsibility to create and schedule posts on a monthly basis.
I also had the responsibility of communcating with the businesses partners, consumers and internal staff through email marketing. These would be in the format of weekly newsletters which I would create.
Rawnet (Web Design Agency)
Web & Mobile App Quality Assurance
My first job after completing university was at Rawnet - a large web design agency based in Ascot. Here, I worked as a Web & Mobile App Tester, where I would frequently test and ensure quality for various journeys and functionalies across multiple large websites.
Some examples of these brands include Redbull Racing, ITV Media, Hornby Hobbies and Sharps Bedrooms.
Testing
I was required to work in an agile methodology, testing large and small changes across multiple websites. I used a highly complex CMS (Concrete5) to do so, whilst communicating with other developers to ensure work met the standards required to go live.
Working in Quality Assurance is a skill that has significantly impacted my other roles and projects - taking a great deal of time to ensure my work meets my own standards and of those involved.
Freelance
Since 2019, I have also worked on various freelance projects for independent businesses and charities. I have worked across both online and offline touchpoints, creating new content to improve conversions for different organisations.
Adhar Project
Digital Transformation
I completed various freelance projects for Adhar, including a new coded website, completing social media campaigns and designing various graphics, posters and videos for their social media channels and printed materials.
Following this, I was given a part-time job to assist in projects and support in digital transformation - as they previously had very little online content and relied completely on printed materials.
This led to an expansion across social media, creating new databases for data, hosting online events and more.
Other Businesses
My work with Adhar enabled me to communicate and find small jobs with other businesses and charities, such as creating websites, designing content and assisting running events.
